Project Description
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians will develop a long-term strategic energy action plan. Project goals are to: 1) improve energy efficiency of existing consuming sectors of the reservation, 2) develop sustainable energy production, and 3) improve the human capacity of tribal members relative to energy issues. It is intended that the plan will provide a comprehensive energy road map that identifies baseline conditions, formulates a vision for energy-related tribal activities, and outlines specific steps toward achieving that vision. The strategic energy plan will function as a framework from which energy self-sufficiency and business development can be achieved while also functioning as a living document that can accommodate new opportunities as they present themselves.
