As part of its efforts to demonstrate transparency about its work, in late November NNSA welcomed 13 non-governmental experts on arms control and nonproliferation to its Nevada facilities, including parts of the Nevada National Security Site.

NNSA has awarded two organizations 5-year grants totaling $2.17 million, to develop and strengthen apprenticeship training programs aligned with NNSA’s needs for traditional and emerging technician positions.

Travelling from Washington, D.C. to Minnesota to Nevada to Arkansas, NNSA Principal Deputy Administrator Frank Rose crossed the country May 8-16 to support a variety of NNSA missions.
The DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship will receive 39 new students for 2023-24, a new class size record. Established in 1991 and jointly funded by the DOE Office of Science and NNSA, the program trains top leaders in computational science.
