The U.S. Department of Energy conducted the fifth Five-Year Review at the Mound, OH, Site, as required by Section 121 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as amended by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986. This act requires that remedial actions resulting in any hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants remaining onsite at levels that do not allow for unlimited use and unrestricted exposure be subject to a Five-Year Review.
