Gordon Clark

Gordon Clark currently serves as the supervisor for the Uranium Mine team and is responsible for the Defense-Related Uranium Mines (DRUM) program and Uranium Leasing Program (ULP).  

Previously in his career, Gordon served as a general engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Asset Management, responsible for policies and procedures for efficient space utilization. In addition, he served as the Navy’s director of Real Estate; the director of Shore Infrastructure Planning; and Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s contingency engineering product line leader.  

Gordon was commissioned at Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island, in 1990.  His military tours include: Asset Management branch head, commander, Navy Installations Command, Washington, D.C.; Public Works branch head, commander, Navy Installations Command, Washington, D.C.;  Facilities Engineer and Acquisition department head, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia; Transportation and Communications program manager, Project and Contracting Office, Baghdad, Iraq; Flag Housing officer, Naval District Washington, Washington, D.C.; contingency engineer, CINCUSNAVEUR, London; OIC Detachment Haiti, assistant operations officer, OIC Detail Iwakuni; headquarters company commander, material liaison officer, and embarkation officer, NMCB-74, Gulfport, Mississippi; and assistant public works officer and assistant resident officer in charge of construction, Naval Station Everett, Everett, Washington. Gordon’s prior military experience includes six years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard as an infantry squad leader. 

Gordon graduated from Springfield College (Springfield, Massachusetts) in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in environmental sciences and from the University of Lowell (Lowell, Massachusetts) in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He earned a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1998.
