The DOE Office of Legacy Management assumed responsibility for all activities associated with subsurface completion and long-term surveillance and maintenance at the Amchitka site in 2008. The Amchitka site (a Nevada Offsite) requires records-related activities, stakeholder support, and an inspection and maintenance trip every 5 years.
