Jami Alley

Portrait of a woman with curly grey hair.

Jami Alley joined the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Indian Energy as an engineer in May 2024, after nearly 15 years of supporting the Office of Indian Energy and its predecessor program, the U.S. Department of Energy Tribal Energy Program, as a federal contractor. Duty stationed in Golden, Colorado, Jami serves as an expert administering financial assistance awards to American Indian Nations, Alaska Native Villages, and Tribal and inter-Tribal organizations.

Before joining the Office of Indian Energy team as a federal contractor in 2009, she had several years of hands-on field experience as an estimator and project manager for a general contractor for commercial and residential building projects and as a project oversight representative for the construction management firm representing United Airlines.

Jami was raised near Denver, Colorado, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Jami’s work in Tribal energy has by far been the most inspiring and fulfilling work of her career, and she is honored to be a part of the team advancing the mission of the Office of Indian Energy for the ultimate benefit of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
