Brandon Kiger brings his past experience working for nonprofits and solar organizations as well as his experience with tribal energy projects to his current position serving as a federal contactor supporting the Office of Indian Energy. As a program analyst, Mr. Kiger’s primary responsibilities include coordinating funding opportunity announcements, supporting educational and outreach efforts such as the Tribal Energy Webinar series and the Annual Program Review, and a variety of other special projects.

Previously, Mr. Kiger served as director of solar grant partnerships at All Points North Foundation, which provides solar grants to tribal communities and nonprofits. He also served as a solar advisor for the SolSmart Program at The Solar Foundation supporting local governments and communities to make solar faster, easier, and more affordable. Mr. Kiger also worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, primarily serving on the solar technical assistance team  and supporting the Department of Energy’s Indian Energy Program where he helped tribal communities work towards energy sovereignty.

Mr. Kiger earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Purdue University and his Master of Science in design and sustainable development at West Virginia University. He completed 2 years of service for the national service program AmeriCorps serving the Texas Conservation Corps and worked with at-risk youth and green jobs training while at American YouthWorks in Austin, Texas. Mr. Kiger resides just outside of Denver, Colorado, with his wife and three beautiful girls. He loves being outdoors and enjoys biking and hiking with his family and his two beagles.
