The Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) develops inclusive talent programs both inside and outside of the Department to grow the tech transitions pipeline. These efforts seek to capture a diverse thinkers and doers while inspiring the DOE workforce of the future.

OTT runs the highly successful Energy I-Corps program. Energy I-Corps is a two-month entrepreneurial bootcamp that trains lab researchers to think like an entrepreneur and provides to skills to identify viable pathways for their technologies.

OTT is also proud to host the American-Made EnergyTech University Prize (EnergyTech UP), a competition for student teams across the nation to identify promising energy technologies, assess their market potential, and create viable commercialization plans. This competition cultivates the next generation of energy innovators, accelerating the transfer of energy technologies to market, and enriching the DOE workforce of the future.
