Todd Wisniewski

Todd Wisniewski has served as Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Cyber Assessments and Data Analytics at the Department of Energy OIG since May 2023.  Todd began his career with the OIG in July 1998.  At the onset of his career, Todd performed financial statement audits and performance audits related to the Department’s environmental management activities.  He began conducting technology and cybersecurity related audits, inspections, and evaluations in 2002 and has held various roles as a Team Leader, Director, and Director of Operations.  In his current role as Deputy Assistant Inspector General, Todd is responsible for all information technology and financial related audits and evaluations. He is also responsible for overseeing implementation of the OIG’s data analytics program and the OIG’s mission-critical Audit and Inspection Management System.  Under Todd’s leadership, the Office of Cyber Assessments and Data Analytics has conducted many successful reviews related to cybersecurity, information system acquisition and development, technology related support services, and financial management of the Department.  Todd has led his teams in making more than 1,300 recommendations for improvement and questioning more than $500 million in Department costs.

Todd is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Internal Auditor.  

Todd graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Duquesne University and is a graduate of the Leadership for a Democratic Society program at the Federal Executive Institute.
