The Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) have temporarily modified the process for trainees to register for and complete accredited online trainings. This step-by-step process provides instructions on registration and attendance for live webinars, as well as steps to complete the training assessment and evaluation to receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Step 1

To register for an upcoming webinar, follow the registration link provided by FEMP to register using the NIBS Webex Portal. You will receive an email from Webex confirming your registration, along with the attendance link. Visit the FEMP Training Catalog to view all upcoming trainings.

Step 2

Use the attendance link and password provided to you in the registration confirmation email to attend the training.

Step 3

NIBS will email you a link to the assessment and evaluation. The email will come from the Whole Building Design Guide's (WBDG) email account, wbdg@nibs.org. Assessments for live webinars use a tool called Typeform.

  • Complete the assessment and evaluation within 6 weeks of the training, using the Typeform link. You must score a minimum of 80% to proceed to the evaluation. The test may be re-taken if 80% is not achieved.

  • Share your email address to receive your certificate. Typeform will notify the WBDG support team when an assessment and evaluation are completed.

  • Once notification is received, the WBDG support team will email you with your certificate within 1–2 business days.

If you do not receive the email or have questions, contact wbdg@nibs.org.
