About Carbon Management Dialogue

Hosted by Climate Now, in partnership with Rice University and the City of Houston and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, this event will feature a series of listening sessions, discussions and workshops designed to inform and engage local stakeholders on the topic of carbon management, with a focus on identifying key concerns and potential solutions around its role in helping address climate change and the clean energy transition in the Houston area.

By participating in this hybrid event, community members in Houston and the Gulf Coast region will have the opportunity to voice questions about proposed carbon management infrastructure, share information about carbon management safety, and share perspectives on how carbon management could or could not contribute to the region's current climate initiatives. The event will provide an opportunity to create bridges of collaboration between community, government, academia, developers, and researchers in the carbon management space to support an equitable and informed energy transition in and around Houston.
