Christopher Pulskamp, Department of Energy (DOE) Project Engineer for the EM Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project.

U.S. Army, Lieutenant

When and Where:

Served 1987- 1993
Stationed in Nuremberg, Germany and at Fort Bliss, Texas

Most memorable event or moment during service:

My most memorable event was deploying to Iraq and supporting the First Armor Division in Operation Desert Storm.

How has your military service helped prepare you for the job you do at EM?

My military experience and training taught me leadership and management skills that I use every day on the job and in project management.

When did you begin working for EM and what got you interested in the cleanup mission?

I was previously involved in Department of Defense environmental programs and remediation. I joined the DOE and the Moab UMTRA Project in 2020 because the cleanup work is very interesting and because the area is so beautiful.
