Jaime Van Mourik, Associate AIA, LEED AP BD+C, oversees the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home program in addition to coordinating high-performance new construction activities for the DOE Building Technologies Office.

Van Mourik is passionate about educating people of all ages about the impacts that the built environment has on their lives. She believes that providing knowledge and opportunities for action will result in true transformation. Prior to her work with DOE, she served as the vice president for education solutions at the U.S. Green Building Council, where she led a team to create and deploy education solutions for every learner, from young children to professionals looking to advance their career. Van Mourik collaborated with higher education institutions and advocates across the country to develop and deliver innovative learning platforms that integrate resilient and efficient building concepts into curricula and create pathways to professional credentials. She has extensive experience advising how the LEED rating system can help shape initiatives in teaching, research, and practice.

Van Mourik holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in architectural history from the University of Virginia.
