This episode of the Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute’s (CESMII) Web Series, “Six Degrees of Smart Manufacturing,” will discuss examples of how smart manufacturing (SM) improves the utilization of energy resources at the process, enterprise, and supply chain levels, especially when we consider the high-energy usage of  industries like paper, metals, chemicals, petroleum, and food. The event will also cover how data exchanges in SM processes and the SM ecosystem can be used to monitor and optimize through artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML) techniques the utilization of resources including energy.  Don't miss it!

Guest Speaker:

  • Ethan Rogers, Physical Scientist, U.S. Department of Energy, Advanced Manufacturing Office Hosts:
  • Conrad Leiva, CESMII Director of Ecosystem & Workforce Development
