The first ever Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program Summit will be held July 12 to showcase the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Program. The hybrid in-person and virtual summit will showcase all four Program sites – Chain Reaction Innovations located at Argonne National Laboratory, Innovation Crossroads located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Cyclotron Road/ Activate located at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and West Gate, located at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory – along with the regional ecosystems these programs leverage to move clean energy technologies out of the lab and into the market.
Achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 goals requires moving new science-based innovations into deployment at unprecedented speeds. The Program's mission is to train the next generation of clean tech entrepreneurs to develop game-changing technologies for a clean energy future. Since 2015, it has supported more than 100 Fellows by providing full-time support for two years along with access to the many unique resources, facilities, and personnel in DOE’s national labs.
The Summit will showcase the regional and national impact of the Program while highlighting the value of inclusive innovation and diversity for early-stage clean energy startups.
