Join the AMO SBIR team for a new webinar aimed at AMO’s stakeholder community that will provide a more in-depth look at AMO subtopics and related technical issues for applicants. To review AMO subtopics click HERE.

The webinar will include ample time for subtopic-specific Q&A. Participants are highly encouraged to ask questions during each subtopic presentation and at the end.

WHO: Potential small business applicants (and their university and national partners) should sign up for this webinar.

WHAT: On November 12, DOE issued agency-wide topics for its FY 2020 Phase I funding for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. AMO subtopics under this solicitation include atomic precision, sensors for harsh and corrosive environments, critical materials, and water desalination. AMO also has joint subtopics with other EERE offices on ocean plastic waste, thermal energy storage, and high-torque direct-drive generators.

The full list of topics for this solicitation can be found here. AMO-specific topics begin on page 26 and AMO joint topics with EERE’s Bioenergy, Buildings, Water, and Wind Offices begin on page 73. The deadline for letters of intent will be January 6, 2020, and full applications will be due February 24, 2020.
