The security and resiliency of the U.S. energy sector is one of today’s most important and complex national security issues. A widespread disruption to the energy sector could impact our energy supplies, economy, and daily lives.

At the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), securing the nation’s critical energy infrastructure from cyber threats and attacks is one of our top priorities.  

This overview lays out CESER’s five cybersecurity priorities and highlights the work we are doing with our government and industry partners to address the evolving cyber risk landscape to the energy sector.
