WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Energy will make an announcement related to the domestic supply chain of critical minerals. Senior DOE officials will hold a background press briefing call to discuss the announcement.
President Trump’s September 2020 Executive Order Addressing the Threat to the Domestic Supply Chain from Reliance on Critical Minerals from Foreign Adversaries and December 2017 Executive Order on A Federal Strategy to Ensure Secure and Reliable Supplies of Critical Minerals have highlighted the immense need for a reliable and secure U.S. critical minerals industry. This announcement expands upon the Administration policy directives.
