Department of Energy Announces Release of Annual Technology Commercialization Fund Solicitation 

Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 solicitation for the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF) managed by the Office of Technology Transitions. TCF projects will advance the commercialization of promising energy technologies and strengthen partnerships between DOE’s National Laboratories and private sector companies to deploy lab-developed technologies to the marketplace. This is the sixth annual TCF solicitation since FY 2016.

OTT Represents DOE at Mission Innovation 

This morning, DOE Chief Commercialization Officer and OTT Director Conner Prochaska participated as Head of Delegation for the Energy Department at the fifth (and first virtual) Mission Innovation Ministerial. At the event, global energy leaders discussed the importance of clean energy innovation."The United States shares the commitment to innovation, which is a core element of our competitive energy philosophy," said Prochaska. 
Earlier in the week, Deputy Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes addressed the partnering Clean Energy Ministerial. He remarked, "We have an opportunity to unleash the clean energy potential of all of our fuels and technologies. Rather than accept the status quo, we can use innovation to transform it."

InnovationXLab Quantum Information Science & Technology

Virtual Series: Global Communications,Transportation, and Navigation Webinar

The final webinar in a special series prelude to the Quantum InnovationXLab will focus on potential transformations that quantum technologies can bring to global communications and the transportation sector, including drones, automotive, space, air, and marine sectors. Global communications and transportation today increasingly rely on wireless communication, sensing, and in situ data processing.

This webinar, featuring opening remarks from Deputy Secretary of Energy Mark W.
