InnovationXLab is back! Quantum, carbon, and more!
Office of Technology Commercialization
September 29, 2020

The Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) is thrilled to bring back the InnovationXLab Series in a new virtual format! InnovationXLab Summits are not dense technical workshops, but are designed to enable connections and commercialization opportunities at the decision-maker level. They showcase promising technologies from across the Department of Energy's (DOE) 17 National Labs and encourage the formation of new partnerships.
We have two upcoming summits in October, highlighted below. We look forward to you joining us!
InnovationXLab Quantum Information Science & Technology
October 7-8, 2020
Quantum Information Science and Technology (QIST) is rapidly evolving and is already demonstrating the potential to transform computing and communications. To ensure U.S. leadership in the new quantum economy, the DOE, along with several other federal agencies, has made significant investments in QIST research.
The QIST Summit, organized by OTT and Brookhaven National Laboratory in collaboration with the Office of Science, is the sixth in DOE’s InnovationXLab series: a showcase of the remarkable assets and capabilities of the Department’s National Laboratories. These summits facilitate a two-way exchange of information and ideas between industry, universities, investors, and end-use customers with Lab innovators and experts.
The InnovationXLab QIST Summit will connect leaders in the finance and banking, technology, communications, energy, transportation, life sciences, and materials sciences sectors to discuss how to accelerate QIST advancements that impact the nation and world.
InnovationXLab CarbonX
October 21-22, 2020
The DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is pleased to host the virtual DOE InnovationXLab CarbonX Summit on Wednesday and Thursday, October 21-22, 2020. This event will showcase DOE technologies and National Laboratory capabilities that are transforming the domestic energy economy by enabling value-added products, environmentally conscious storage, and economical CO2 capture.
The Summit will feature informative exhibits, prominent keynote speakers, and networking opportunities with researchers, industry players, and stakeholders working to tackle the energy sector’s most pressing challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from DOE Deputy Secretary Mark W. Menezes!
