The Office of Project Management (PM) is pleased to announce the upcoming 2019 Department of Energy (DOE) Project Management Workshop. The workshop continues the tradition of providing an opportunity to discuss projects and major challenges with senior DOE leadership, review best practices, share lessons learned, and recognize excellence. The workshop is a designated training event and attendees will earn continuous learning points (CLPs) for each day’s participation.


Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23 & 24, 2019 (Main Workshop)

Thursday, April 25, 2019: optional Project Controls session (morning) and Program Breakout sessions (afternoon)

Attendees traveling to the event can book at the group rate here until March 23, 2019.
Audience:The target audience is DOE federal employees and DOE contractors involved with project management or contracting. This includes, but is not limited to, Federal Project Directors, project controls staff, program or staff office representatives, contracting officers, DOE contractors, and others in the DOE project management community. If contractor employee attendance is during billable work, prior to attending, the contract employees should consult with their employer, who will coordinate with the contracting officer.

Cost:There is no registration fee, but attendees’ organizations are responsible for travel, lodging, and meal expenses. Meals are not included in the program.
Transportation:The L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station is conveniently located downstairs from the hotel lobby.
Dining:In addition to food options available in the hotel, there is a wide selection of casual dining options downstairs in L’Enfant Plaza.

Attendees at the Project Management Workshop can earn continuous learning points (CLPs) for each day of attendance. Attendees will earn eight CLPs per day for attending the main workshop on April 23 and 24. Attendees will earn an additional four CLPs for attending the optional project controls session on April 25.

CLPs earned from attending the 2019 Project Management Workshop will be entered into the CHRIS event “2019 PM Workshop” each day based on attendance logs kept at the workshop. (This applies to DOE federal employees only). If you are an FPD these CLPs will be auto reported to the CLP tracking system in the PMCDP module in ESS. All participants will be sent an email certificate showing participation.
