The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Bristol Bay Campus Sustainable Energy program is sponsoring a Solar Professionals Installation Training in Dillingham, Alaska.
Students will spend eight consecutive days learning the fundamental, practical science behind solar electric systems and installation methods through coursework and hands-on experience. Following the initial class, students will apply their knowledge through the direct installation of a new, grid-tied, solar electric array on the Bristol Bay Campus. They will also earn credit toward a Solar Professional Installer Certificate, a nationally recognized certificate from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. Students who complete this course can also receive, at no extra cost, two UAF college credits that will count toward the Sustainable Energy Occupational Endorsement Certificate. Out of town students are eligible for FREE housing.
