Description:
- Responsible for directing multidisciplinary teams working on a complex portfolio of analysis, demonstration, and deployment projects that support AMO's Technical Partnerships programs as well as performing strategic planning, and stakeholder outreach to coordinate and collaborate in executing these activities.
- Responsible for managing deployment programs focused on energy efficiency technologies, on-site generation, and decarbonization strategies, while leveraging expertise in end use applications for clean energy technologies, workforce development, and energy/environmental justice considerations.
- Will coordinate and collaborate with other DOE programs and agencies working on deployment of industrial energy efficiency technologies, on-site generation, energy storage, and microgrid technologies.
- Facilitates planning and integration efforts across AMO and DOE programs focused on deployment of emerging efficiency and decarbonization technologies at energy intensive manufacturing facilities.
- Makes recommendations to inform prioritization and promote efficient use of resources to achieve programmatic and administration decarbonization goals.
- Identifies connections and opportunities for alignment, coordination, and increased collaboration on clean energy technologies, workforce development, and decarbonization strategies.
- Develops approaches for partnership with a broader array of stakeholders across AMO’s program portfolio.
- Coordinates with subject matter experts, national labs, contractors, and cross-office teams.
- Develops presentations, briefing materials, analytical resources, and other work products for use by senior leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required to Perform the Work:
- Technical expertise in on-site generation technologies, such as combined heat and power (CHP), waste heat to power (WHP), energy storage (thermal and electric), and renewable energy systems.
- Skilled at leading programs that integrate workforce development, stakeholder engagement, and energy/environmental justice considerations.
- Ability to engage with a broad variety of stakeholder organizations to develop technology deployment strategies and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to implement energy efficiency or clean energy programs/projects.
