Former Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Secretary

Bridget Bartol was the Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Secretary, for the U.S. Department of Energy. In this role, Bartol advises agency leadership and coordinates across the department and interagency to support fuel market stability, near and long-term supply chain development, energy system preparedness and response, as well as implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act programs. In 2021, Bartol was Deputy Director for the Office of Public Affairs for the DOE. Prior to that, she was a Vice President of Public Affairs at SKDK, specializing in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and media relations for a range of corporate, nonprofit, advocacy, and crisis clients. Previously, she led media and messaging strategy for energy and transportation issues at Securing America’s Future Energy and served as Deputy Press Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy during the Obama Administration.

Prior to her appointment, she was a Senior Associate at Dewey Square Group in Boston and worked at The Smith-Free Group in Washington D.C. A South Florida native, Bartol graduated from the University of Florida.
