Speaker: Gloria Larkin, President, CEO, and Founder, TargetGov
Session Description: Experienced contractors are increasingly perplexed at not being able to get a meeting on a timely basis with appropriate decision-makers. In the past, it had been much easier to get appointments; but for a variety of reasons, this is dramatically changing. This mid to advanced level session is to help contractors of every experience level understand why this is changing, the killer mistakes to avoid and discover ways to ask for and receive timely meetings with the multiple layers of decision-makers involved. There are very real reasons why this is getting tougher and even with the Executive Order Myth-Busting Memos in force. If one tries to force a meeting with an inappropriate timing or request, that contractor can be effectively shut down from future meetings. Topics covered during this session include: how to be found in the federal government's data scraping tools, when to reach out, how to ask for the meeting, with whom one communicates, when it is inappropriate to reach out, how to leverage public events into private meetings, and best practices for success.
