2020 AMO Offsite Important Information

TRANSPORTATION

You are responsible for your own transportation to/from the airport and to/from the meeting facility. Please consider carpooling whenever possible.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is approximately 34 miles from the NREL Campus.

There is no direct rail or bus route between DEN and NREL. Although it is possible to take rail/bus the route involves connections which can be logistically cumbersome and long.

One-way Uber/Lyft is approximately $35-$50.
One-way Taxi trip is approximately $85-$100.
4-day Car Rental is approximately $108-$120 + gas.

  • Car rental agencies
  • Transportation options, including taxis, Uber, Lyft, commuter rail, bus.

FOOD & DRINK

AMO will NOT be providing any food or beverage during the Offsite.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are on your own.

  • There is a cafeteria a short outdoor walk from the RSF which serves a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. The cafeteria is open from 7:30-10:00a.m. for breakfast and 11:00a.m.-1:30p.m. for lunch.
  • There is a coffee shop on the 2nd floor of the A-Wing in the RSF building that offers a variety of coffees and light pastries and sandwiches. The coffee shop is open from 7:00a.m.-3:00p.m..
  • There is filtered water and ice available in all the kitchens in the C-Wing, as well as in the vending area on the ground floor behind the NREL reception area.
  • The campus is a sustainable campus, so it is helpful if you can bring your own water bottle.

After meeting hours, whether you’re looking for a quick bite, elegant meal, or happy-hour drink, you’ll find an abundance of fast-casual and sit-down restaurants and bars within the area.
