Willamette Valley System Operations and Maintenance; Oregon

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Portland District) announced its intent to prepare an EIS that analyzes the potential environmental impacts of continued operation and maintenance of the Willamette Valley System while meeting obligations pursuant to the Endangered Species Act. The Willamette Valley System consists of 13 multipurpose dams and reservoirs, riverbank protection projects in the Willamette River Basin in Oregon, and hatchery programs to mitigate impacts on fish habitat. Bonneville Power Administration is a cooperating agency.
