Cape Wind Energy Project, Nantucket Sound, MA

The DOE Loan Program Office is proposing to offer a loan guarantee to Cape Wind Associates, LLC for the construction and start-up of the Cape Wind Energy Project in Nantucket Sound, offshore of Massachusetts.  The proposed Cape Wind Energy Project would consist of up to 130, 3.6-MW turbine generators, in an area of roughly 25-square miles, and would include 12.5 miles of 115-kilovolt submarine transmission cable and an electric service platform.

In December 2012, DOE adopted the Department of the Interior 2009 Final Cape Wind Energy Project EIS, in combination with the Cape Wind Environmental Assessments dated May 2010 and April 2011 (per 40 CFR 1506.4), as a DOE Final EIS (DOE/EIS-0470).  The adequacy of the Department of the Interior final EIS adopted by DOE is the subject of a judicial action.  The files listed below, collectively, comprise DOE's Final EIS (DOE/EIS-0470).
