America's industrial sector is the heartbeat of the U.S. economy, producing chemicals, electronics, machinery, steel, metals, textiles, and many other products that are critical to daily life. It is also currently responsible for approximately one-third of domestic greenhouse gas emissions. Decarbonizing the U.S. industrial sector is critical to achieving a clean energy future that benefits all Americans.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is investing in bold industrial decarbonization technologies at each stage of the innovation pipeline to help manufacturers and businesses use clean energy, increase efficiency, and integrate new, innovative processes and technologies.
Opportunities from direct project funding to technical assistance to tax credits are all available through DOE and other Federal entities.
