Worker Safety and Health Enforcement Preliminary Notice of Violation issued to Sandia Corporation
On November 17, 2015, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2015-06) to Sandia Corporation for violations of the Department of Energy’s worker safety and health program requirements (10 C.F.R. 851) associated with two events - a lithium ion battery fire and the unexpected initiation of an explosives detonator that occurred at the Sandia National Laboratories.
