WASHINGTON, D.C. – From Tuesday, September 29 – Wednesday, September 30, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette will be in Michigan to highlight U.S. preeminence in science and innovation, and the revitalization of the U.S. automotive industry and manufacturing under the Trump Administration.

On Tuesday, the Secretary will be in East Lansing to participate in a designation ceremony for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) funded by the Department of Energy, Michigan State University, and the State of Michigan. He will be joined by Under Secretary for Science Paul Dabbar and will hold a media availability following the ceremony. MSU campus safety protocol will be followed as outlined below.

On Wednesday, Secretary Brouillette will tour the Ford Engineering Laboratory in Detroit where he will learn about the cutting-edge, innovative work Ford is pursuing to make traditional automobiles and electric vehicles safer and more efficient.
