WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, March 19, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette will hold a press briefing call and answer questions from the media on President Trump’s directive to the Secretary to purchase American oil for storage in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). This morning, the Department announced a solicitation for the purchase of an initial 30 million barrels to begin filling the SPR.
