How You Will Be Evaluated
As vacancies become available, applicants may be required to go through the DOE Clean Energy Corps hiring pipeline. Under this process, applicants may be evaluated based on competencies of occupational series matching interest areas identified and/or minimum qualifications of specific positions. Specific competencies and qualifications are included in the USAJOBS Announcements. We encourage you to review the vacancy announcement in detail and ensure your resume/application addresses all information in the following sections of the USAJOBS announcement: Qualifications, including both Specialized Experience and Education, if applicable; and Required Documentation.
The Department of Energy is utilizing Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to fill a majority of our CEC positions. Under DHA, applicants are required to meet minimum qualification requirements at the grade level(s) of interest or equivalent. Veteran's Preference, Schedule A, Category Rating, and other methods of consideration DO NOT APPLY under Direct-Hire Authority regulations.
