The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Block Grant Assistance hosted its 2020 Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Webinar Series for CDBG-MIT grantees. The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy provided an overview of disaster mitigation and resiliency best practices using energy efficiency and renewable energy measures. Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe in Northern California shared best practices in its innovative energy storage microgrid projects. Grantees learned of various energy efficiency, energy storage, and renewable activities that can be funded by CDBG-MIT.
