Project Objective

Momentum Innovation Group LLC will create a Workforce Development Platform to allow individuals entering the building workforce to access training content and job opportunities. The Workforce Development Platform will be scalable nationwide, integrate classroom and hands-on training, and allow potential employers to easily connect with students. The goal of the project is to combine three workforce development needs (content development, training, and job placement) for offsite construction under a single platform that:

  • Creates offsite construction training content targeted at high school and community college students that is customizable and highly engaging.
  • Disseminates developed training content through existing education/training pathways, including but not limited to high school, CTE, and community college courses.
  • Connects and places trained students with offsite industry jobs.

Project Impact

This project will create an offsite curriculum and job placement model that is scalable nationwide, allowing the offsite industry to continue to expand market share and compete with foreign industries.

The team will develop an online platform housing a customizable offsite construction training program consisting of content equating to 50 hours of curriculum, two completed pilots demonstrating at least a 25% increase in the overall level of factory skills, and the ability for trained students and potential employers to connect and fill offsite industry job opportunities.
