Building 4654, the Interim Storage Facility, was constructed in 1958 to support the Sodium Reactor Experiment (SRE). It was originally used to store dummy and spent fuel elements, shipping storage casks, and the waste generated at the SRE.

The purpose of this Certification Docket is to document the successful decontamination & decommissioning of Building T654 at the Energy Technology Engineering Center (ETEC) at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory, Area IV, for unrestricted use.
