The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) to design and develop a prototype high temperature (up to 1600 °F), high pressure (up to 1000 psi), heat exchanger made from a glass-ceramic matrix composite to operate in the harsh environments of power generation and industrial applications.
