  • The State and Local Solution Center helps states, local governments, and K-12 schools take clean energy to scale in their communities using a searchable database based on four key action areas or by topic and/or resource type. Action areas include in depth information on how to develop a clean energy strategy, design and implement clean energy programs, pay for clean energy, and access and use energy data. 
  • Tribal Energy Technical Assistance provides strategic energy planning and project development technical assistance to federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal energy resource development organizations, and other organized tribal groups and communities to advance tribal renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.  
  • Electricity Policy Technical Assistance Program provides technical support to states, regions, and tribes. Project scope is determined by the requests received to address electricity system topics of greatest interest to state and regional policy makers. Topics can include electricity policy, energy assurance, electricity delivery, utility business models, and system resource planning.
  • Nuclear Energy Technical Assistance provides technical assistance on nuclear energy issues to states and communities as they develop strategic energy plans.
  • Fossil Energy Technical Assistance provides data, analysis, and support for questions regarding clean coal, natural gas and advanced fossil energy systems.
  • The Better Buildings Challenge can provide technical assistance to state and local governments who commit their organizations to lead in saving energy, saving money, and showcasing the best energy saving strategies and their results.
  • Building Energy Codes Program State Technical Assistance helps states and local code enforcement jurisdictions adopt, upgrade, implement, and enforce residential and commercial codes.
  • The Solar Outreach Partnership helps communities overcome individual needs and barriers with assistance that may take the form of program or policy analysis, research support, a technical review of an RFP, market analysis, or aid in designing a new solar incentive program.
  • Clean Cities Technical Assistance has "Tiger Teams" that help states and local communities overcome obstacles for deploying alternative fuels and advanced vehicles.
  • Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnerships formerly called the Clean Energy Application Centers (CEACs), promote and assist in transforming the market for CHP, waste heat to power, and district energy technologies and concepts.
  • State and Local Energy Assurance Planning develops products and tools to inform energy emergency response activities.
  • The Clean Energy Ministerial Solutions Center Ask an Expert international service is available at no cost to government agency representatives from any country and the technical institutes assisting them.
  • The SunShot Solar Technical Assistance Team provides states, localities, and tribes credible and timely information on effective solar policy and program development to meet local solar goals from DOE and the DOE’s National Laboratories.
