Katrina Porter

Ms. Katrina Porter was named Director of the Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) in March 2022. In this capacity, she provides overall leadership and direction for oversight of Savannah River Site (SRS) contracts with a total value of over $16 billion. These contracts cover all aspects of nuclear material disposition and environmental cleanup activities on the 310 square mile site. It also includes a nuclear facility construction project with an estimated value of $2.2 billion, and one of the Federal Government's largest Energy Savings Performance Contracts valued at over $900 million. Ms. Porter also directs the effective management of $3.2 billion in Federal property and provides DOE oversight of contractor human capital management activities.

Previously, she served DOE as the Lead Contracting Officer within the Brookhaven Site Office with oversight, risk management/assessment and evaluation of the Management and Operating (M&O) Contract Acquisition Management System at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).

Prior to joining DOE, she served in multiple positions with the U.S. Navy. She was the Acquisition Branch Head managing a team that was responsible for pre and post award for service and construction projects for 12 tenant commands located at five different sites in the South Potomac area of operation. She was a Contracting Officer on Diego Garcia, British Indian Territory (B.I.O.T) leading a team that administered construction, MILCON, and service contracts cradle to grave and a Contracting Officer at Naval Support Activity, Bahrain administering construction, MILCON and service contracts that supported the U.S. Navy mission in multiple locations within the United Arab Emirates.

She completed a two-year contingency contracting deployment to Afghanistan as a Contract Specialist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers administering construction and service contracts. She has a M.S. in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Northern Arizona University.

Ms. Porter is originally from Florida. She completed six years of active-duty service with the U.S. Army including successfully completing an 8-month deployment during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. She began her federal career as a Copper Cap intern with the U.S. Air Force in 2008. Her hobbies include extensive traveling to locations such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, South Africa, Germany, Berlin, Spain, and Italy.
