Dorothy Famber joined the Department of Energy, Savannah River Operations Office in July 2015 as the Director of Civil Rights and Employee Concerns Programs. In her role, she is responsible for the administration of DOE-SR’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Employee Concerns programs.

Ms. Famber has held several positions in the EEO area prior to her current position. She has served as the national Director of Civil Rights for two different federal agencies and an Administrative Judge for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In her managerial roles, she was responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership on diversity and EEO matters. In addition, she oversaw the EEO complaint program, including complaint intake, investigation and resolution processes.  She also advised managers and supervisors about equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, and anti-harassment, policies, regulations, guidelines and laws.

Ms. Famber holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Labor/Employment Law from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of both the Georgia and Wisconsin bar associations.
