Cyber Council 0 The CIO is a member of the Cyber Council. The Cyber Council is the principal forum for collaboration of cybersecurity, information management strategies, and policies across the Department, and for consideration of cybersecurity related issues requiring decision by the Council Chair (S2).
Cyber Steering Committee 60 The CIO is a member of the Cyber Steering Committee and advises on the Cyber Council's strategic vision, agenda, prepared materials, summary of conclusions, and management of information flow to ensure that relevant stakeholders have opportunities to weigh in on relevant issues.
Information Management Governance Board (IMGB) 60 The CIO chairs the IMGB. The IMGB, within the governance framework approved by the Cyber Council, serves as the principal forum for collaboration of cybersecurity, information management strategies, and policies across the Department.
IMGB Steering Committee 60 The CIO chairs the IMGB Steering Committee that comprises key Departmental Cyber/IT leaders. It meets weekly and helps frame issues for discussion and detailed examination at the IMGB and Cyber Council.
Energy System Acquisition Advisory Board (ESAAB) 0 The CIO participates as a member of the ESAAB, as it relates to projects that contain IT. The ESAAB's purpose is to assist in the decision-making process on critical decision milestones, baseline change proposals, and site selections for Major System Projects.
Lab Planning and Appraisal process 0 As part of the lab planning process, each lab presents its plans to Office of Science management at Headquarters. These yearly reviews of each lab are focused on work in their current core competencies and an overview of their planned activities including an estimate of resources needed to support new and existing activities. Participation will be expanded to include the appropriate CIO.
Laboratory Operating Board (LOB) 0 The LOB strengthens and enhances the partnership between the DOE and its 17 National Laboratories.  The LOB is managed by an LOB Director, is chaired by the Under Secretary for Management and Performance, and its membership includes senior Federal and National Laboratory leadership.  The LOB undertakes such studies and activities as its membership proposes and agrees, operating by consensus, and/or as requested by the Secretary.
Departmental Investment Review Boards (IRBs) 0 The CIO will either be included in the Departmental IRBs or use an alternate equivalent approach, as it relates to IT.  Departmental IRBs include the NNSA Requirements Oversight Committee, EM HQ IT Governance Board, EIA IT Governance Board, SEPA Core Team, WAPA HQ 10 Year Plan, Desert Southwest Region Capital Planning, Rocky Mountain Region Capital Planning, Sierra Nevada Region Capital Planning, and Upper Great Plains Region Capital Planning boards.
Enterprise Architecture Governance Board (EAGB) 0 The Enterprise Architecture Governance Board (EAGB), within the governance framework approved by the Cyber Council, serves as the stewards for definition and communication of enterprise architecture, architecture strategies, architectural decisions, and policies and standards across the Department.
