Ashland Conservation District also encourages energy efficiency within the residential sector through the Energy Conservation Programs. Among the services offered through these programs, residents with electric heat can have a Home Energy Analysis, an Air Leakage Test and a Duct System Analysis all performed for free. Customers with gas heat can have these tests conducted, but have to pay $50 to $100 for each one. Rebates are also offered on ductwork, weatherization measures, and qualifying heat pumps. Heat pumps and ductwork must be installed and commissioned by a heating contractor on the City's approved list. To qualify for weatherization rebates, customers must heat with electricity from the City of Ashland. For more information on these residential energy conservation programs, visit the program web site.
Ashland Electric Utility also offers an Indoor Water Analysis and rebates for water efficient toilets and removing wood stoves. Customers should consult the program web site for details.
