Liz Chavez is a proud Chicana from South Central Los Angeles, most recently she served as Deputy Digital Director for the Office of Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti, where she worked to advance the Mayor’s digital objectives and roll out COVID-19 initiatives. Previously, Liz has held digital roles in local, state, and national political campaigns. As a first-generation daughter of immigrants, Liz is actively working to ensure communities have access to opportunities while creating a sense of belonging for marginalized peoples. Liz was the first in her family to attend college. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, Channel Islands.
