The General Services Administration’s Office of Inspector General is conducting an investigation into alleged third-party fraudulent activities involving entries into the System for Award Management (SAM).

Entities registered in SAM are advised to log into and review the accuracy of the information in their account, including their Electronic Funds Transfer bank account information. For resolving any questions, the Federal Service Desk at or 866-606-8220 is available for free assistance.

Entities renewing or updating their registration will now be required to submit an original, signed, notarized letter that confirms the authorized Entity Administrator associated with the DUNS number of the registrant before the SAM system can activate the registration.
