Almost 6,600 people attended the Y-12 Plant Open House on September 2-3, 1967. This was the first time the general public was allowed to visit a portion of Y-12. Only the facilities of the Electrical and Electronics department in Building 9737 were open for the tour. However, other divisions within the plant provided exhibits in a newly completed part of the building.

As Y-12 National Security Campus celebrates its diamond anniversary, staff are preparing to host the Secret City tours on June 8. The 17th annual Secret City Festival will also feature arts and crafts vendors, interactive children’s activities, and musical entertainment.
