After a highly successful first job fair in January, NNSA is hosting a second hiring event in Arlington, Virginia, on July 11. Hiring managers will be on site, prepared to extend tentative job offers for Engineer, Physical Scientist, and Contract Specialist positions.
NNSA and its contractor-operated labs, plants, and sites are hiring for jobs across the country.
The agency is run from headquarters in Washington, D.C., Germantown, Maryland; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition, NNSA oversees its contractor-operated National Laboratories, production plants, and sites through field offices that are mostly co-located with the facilities they supervise in California, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
Applicants who attended the January job fair will need to re-register. Job fair registration does not mean someone has applied for a job. It expedites the sign-in process.
The Nuclear Security Enterprise is actively engaged in all of its core missions –ensuring a safe, secure, and reliable nuclear stockpile without explosive testing; reducing the global danger from weapons of mass destruction; providing the U.S. Navy with safe and effective nuclear propulsion; and responding to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and around the world. Both the federal government and its management and operating partners are seeking to hire professionals of all ages and skill levels to help accomplish all of this and more.
For those outside of the Washington, D.C., area, NNSA will host “Nuclear Security Enterprise Days” at colleges and universities across the country in the fall. Plans for similar job fairs in other locations are also in the works.
