Texas A&M University, in collaboration with NuScale Power LLC, proposes to design and construct a small modular reactor (SMR) remote simulator that is cloud-based and accessible to multiple research institutions in the region. The simulator will provide an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to study and evaluate the steady-state and dynamic response of the NuScale modular reactor. Ultimately, the facility will be used by industry researchers as well as high school students to study the behavior of small reactors under a variety of scenarios.
