The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of Maryland (UMD) to develop a low cost triple pane vacuum-insulated glass (TPVIG) window which can be mass produced and cut to size on site. Project work would occur at UMD, Clemson University, and independent testing agencies.
