The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of California Davis (UCD) to design, fabricate, and experimentally validate the performance of molten salt-to-supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) heat exchangers (HX) for concentrating solar power (CSP) applications using additive manufacturing (AM) of nickel superalloys.
