Western Area Power Administration proposes to install new fiber optic ground wire on Western Area Power Administration's existing Ault - Weld West 230-kilovolt , Cheyenne - Snowy Range 230-kilovolt, and Erie - Terry Street 115-kilovolt Transmission Lines. The project would also include the installation of new optic ground wire equipment at the Ault, Cheyenne, Erie, and Weld Substations, to fully integrate the new optic ground wire into Western Area Power Administration's communication system. This project is part of Western Area Power Administration's ongoing program to update and improve its communication system.
